Make a Difference

In the example, I said the following:

“The reason I do this is because it really helps. It makes a big difference to my teaching business.”

This means that it has a positive effect on my teaching business. Here are three more examples:

  • “I can’t talk now, I’m just about to enter a meeting.”
  • “He wants to make a difference.”
  • “I don’t think the new policy will make a difference.”
  • “It makes no difference which one you use.”

In the last example, imagine you have a two choices. If I say, “it makes no difference which one you use,” this means that they are equal.
