In this English lesson, you will learn how to use the following phrases:

  • look forward to
  • excited about
  • can’t wait

Lesson Notes

When using the first two phrases with a verb, be sure to use the gerund:

  • I’m looking forward to going there
  • I’m excited about going there
  • He’s looking forward to watching the game
  • He’s excited about watching the game

The last phrase is stronger than the first two:

  • I can’t wait to go there
  • He can’t wait for the game
