“We met, we connected, we got on really well.” So, in the video, I said, “We met ,we connected we got on with each other.” Now, I was talking about how I met my wife in Ecuador and there’s a link in the description where you can watch the full video, but in this video I’m going to focus on the phrasal verb ‘get on with’. So, to get on with someone is to like someone… to connect with someone. So, when I met my wife, I liked her, we connected, we got on with each other. Now, in American English, we say get along. So, instead of get on with its get along with.

Here’s another example: he doesn’t get on with his mother-in-law or in American English, he doesn’t get along
with his mother-in-law. He gets on with everyone or he gets along with everyone. Now, what I want you to do is to watch this lesson where I give another example of this phrasal verb. So, if you have enjoyed this lesson, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe if you’re new, and also please share it. Thank you for watching see you next time!
